Hola Mohalla Celebration at Anandpur Sahib 2015

Hola Mohalla Celebration begins at Anandpur Sahib this year on March 4-6, 2015. Many people from around the country are coming and celebrating — a virtual sea of humanity is set to throng Anandpur Sahib. Hola Mohalla is started by 10th Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, has come to be the symbol of Punjab’s own rich religious and cultural tradition. Hola Mohalla Celebration is associated with the displays of mock fights, weapons, exhibitions, kirtan, and poetry competitions.

Tens of thousands of Nihang Sikhs assemble at the Anandpur Sahib to take part in the festival. They perform ‘Gatka’, a Sikh martial art in which age-old weapons and equipment are used to exhibit mock battles. See the Glimpse of Action packed Mock battle of Nihang Singhs.
