Display of Mock fights in Hola Mohalla at Anandpur Sahib

Hola Mohalla is a Sikh festival celebrated annually at Anandpur Sahib. It falls in the month of March, said to be the first day of the lunar month of Chet in the Nanakshahi calendar. It is started by the tenth Sikh guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Though the Hola Mohalla is celebrated throughout Punjab but the major attractions are those held in Anandpur from where this festival is said to have originated. Hola Mohalla at Anandpur Sahib is associated with the displays of mock fights, weapons, exhibitions, kirtan, and poetry competitions.
